Adani Data Centre Sector 62: Digital Infrastructure for the NCR
Adani Enterprises has acquired a 34,275 square metre land parcel in Sector 62, Noida, marking a significant addition to the developer's infrastructure portfolio. The company plans to invest up to Rs 2,400 crore developing a data centre on the site.
Project Details
The land has been allotted in the commercial Sector 62, a major employment hub within the National Capital Region. The project is expected to generate employment for 1,350 people.
Sector 62 is a popular commercial hub, home to various IT and ITeS companies including IBM, Samsung, and TCS, with prominent corporate parks such as Unitech Info Space, Galaxy Business Park, Logix Cyber Park, and Stellar IT Park. Strategically located along NH-24, Sector 62 is easily accessible via Delhi and Ghaziabad, with a dedicated metro station on the Blue Line of Delhi Metro offering connectivity to various parts of Noida and West Delhi.
Location and Connectivity
The sector is approximately 20 km southeast of New Delhi. It is strategically located on NH-24 and provides seamless connectivity with the public transportation system and its own metro station on the Blue Line—Sector 62 Metro Station. The Noida Sector 62 metro station opened on 9 March 2019.
The area benefits from developed social infrastructure, including Fortis Hospital and Krishna Multispeciality Hospital, along with established educational institutions and retail centres nearby.
Strategic Context
Adani Enterprises is establishing data centres across the country, with the Noida data centre likely to be one of the largest data centres in the country. AdaniConneX is a joint venture between Adani Group (India's largest private infrastructure and energy provider) and EdgeConneX (world's largest private data center operator) to develop up to 1 GW of data centre capacity by 2030.
Starting with Chennai, Navi Mumbai, Noida, and Hyderabad, AdaniConneX is building a network of reliable data centre facilities powered by 100% renewable energy. This aligns with Adani's broader infrastructure strategy to position Noida as a digital hub within the NCR.
